Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

From the moment landing at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, our staff will warm welcome and transfer you to respective hotels in the hub of Kathmandu city. With a chilling refresh you join the other group member for trip orientation and briefing by our guide/leader regarding trek, hotels, do and don’ts along with evening group dinner.

Day 02: In Kathmandu with sightseeing tour and trip preparations.

In Kathmandu morning sightseeing tour at places of interest. Kathmandu is steeped with historical and cultural monuments listed in World Heritage by UNESCO.The tour shall be accompanied by expert cultural tour guide.Afternoon shall be busy with leisure and trek preparations.

Day 03: Fly to Lukla 2,886m trek to Phakding 2,640m – 04 hrs

Early morning depart from the hotel for the flight to Lukla in a small plane Dornier, Twin Otter or similar type.During airborne, great views of snow capped peaks with Mt. Everest shall be noticed. This scenic flight takes30 mins. Landing at Lukla, you meet our other trekking staff and porters. With time rest and to refresh before starting the trek to Phakding for overnight stop, walkleads through several wonderful villages and farm lands with great views of hills and valleys then reaching at Phakding village for the night halt by the DudhKosi (river)

Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m – 06 hrs.

Today,walkwill be long heading to Namche at 3,440 m high on the uphill path, starting the morning on crossing few bridges over Dudh Kosi River, then reaching at Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo.

Strollleads on the bank of a river, after last bridge an uphill haulfor few hours all the way to Namche Bazaar. We stay here with 2 nights in this large prosperous trading town –village. This is the main centre and capital of Khumbu area. It has all thefacilities of ATMs, Cyber cafes, stores, shops, restaurants, banks and fresh bakery with busy colorful interesting Saturday market.

Day 05: Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization.

It is a perfect place torest day. Namche Bazaar has acclimatization. We can have a short hike up to park museum, information on mountaineering, flora – fauna and Sherpa culture and religions. Thisscenic beautiful place offers a grand vista of high snow capped mountains including Mt. Everest and majestic Amadablam. It has anoptions for a hike to Everest View Hotel for beautiful scenery of mountains above old Syangboche air strip. Energetic people can take a walk of few hours visiting the sleepy Khumjung and Khunde which located on a glacial valley beneath the majestic holy peak of Khumbila, the patron god of Khumbu.

Day 06: Trek to Deboche 3,867 m – 05hrs.

Sun rise starts strolling along a gradual winding nice path through conifer and rhododendron woodland. The striking views of Amadablam, Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Thamserku and Kwangde peak falls on the walk. Then the path descends towards Imjatseriver at Phunge Tenga. A quick rest encourages us for a uphill climb through nice forest to reach at Tengboche Monastery. A scenic spot with views of Amadablam, Kangtenga, Thamserku, Kwangde and Mt. Everest. This place is a holy spot as the head lama (Rinpoche) of the monastery resides here.

In this monastery, mountaineers take blessing from the high lama priest for bettersuccess and safe expedition overnight in Debouche.

Day 07: Trek to Dingboche 4,260m – 05hrs.

With the morning views, walk leads to a long descend to Imjatse rive passing a small place of Debuche. Hiking into beautiful birch-rhododendron and pines forest, on reaching the strong steel bridge where the tree lines vanish for smaller juniper and rhododendron bushes.Ending the bridge with a slow climb to reach at Pangboche the last permanent village. Beyond are settlement with lodges to serve the trekkers.

The trail leads slowly through exposed landscapes with excellent view of Amadablam at close distance. Our lunch break stops at Shomare, a popular spot for lunch and short break. After the lunch we climb up the hill and down the bridge to reach at Dingboche. It is the wonderful Imjatse valley to rest completing our walk of the day.

Day 08:Trek to Duglha .

With trek across a wide pass which is a much wanted change from walking in a straight line. Around the begning of our trek today we enjoy the company of mighty himalayas on all sites. The valley begins to narrow as we come closer to dusa. We begins to see mount pumori as we continue on our trip. As our trai descends as curves we say good by to mount pumari. We cross the stream and go down to duglha which is a tiny village with huge strand of prayer flags hung across the valley. After reaching duglha, we can walk for 45 minutes to an hour and visit the memorial shrina. Overnight in dughla.

Day 09: Trek to Lobuche 4,930 m – 05 hrs.

On leaving Dingboche, taking an uphill path to reach at a ridge festooned with prayer flags and stupas, with excellent views of the valley and snow capped peaks, walk is gentle on the slow uphill slope. We only stops the steps at Thugala for lunch. It is a small place where the Khumbu glacier melts into a raging icy river. It is the trail from Pheriche and Dingboche meets. A glimpse of stunning view of Taboche, Cholatse, Lobuche, Pumori, Ama Dablamcan’t be missed. Afternoon an hour to a ridge with many memorials of the late climbers both foreigners and Nepalese mountaineers.

From here a pleasant walk but catching slight of altitude as it leads to Lobuche for overnight stop.

Day 10: Trek to Gorakshep 5,170 m, Everest Base Camp 5,364m – 06 hrs.

Morningwalk is a way long to Everest base camp. This is our main highlights of the adventure.Taking a slow move reaching a path close to Glass Pyramid house, a metrological station funded and run by Nepalese and Italian scientists, spot a small steep climb reaching at Khumbu glacier. As the walk leads through over moraine of rocks and small icy streams to reach at Gorakshep with views of Mt. Pumori, Lingtrin, Khumbutse and Mt. Everest. After a break, walk continuesto Everest Base Camp along themoraine and ice. Reaching the destination at Everest Base Camp we forget the exciting but tiring walk.All the pain vanishes with the tumbling Khumbu ice falls close to the base camp, around high season for expeditions. Feeling great we return back to Gorakshep for another adventure climb to Kalapathar next early morning.

Day 11: Hike to Kalapathar 5,545 m trek to Pheriche 4, 240 m – 05 hrs.

Getting up early morning, trek andclimb on a steep uphill to Kalapatthar for stunning panorama view of Mt. Everest with array of surroundings peaks can’t be jotted down on words. This will be the highest point of this great adventure at 5,545m.Completing a thrilling and breathe taking scenery, downhill walk to Gorakshep and continue the return journey all the way to Thugla through Lobuche and finally at Pheriche valley for overnight stop.

Phericheis a nice settlement just near Dingboche. It has many good lodges and a HRA (Himalayan Rescue Association) medical postwith super views of Taboche, Cholatse, Amadablam.

Day 12: Trek to Pheriche 2,880m through Namche Bazaar – 06hrs.

We descend through a hillside filled with rhododendron and cross a bridge over the Dudh Koshi River. We go down through the pine forest where we can easly spot different wild animal and birds common to the area. Journey moves on following downhill all the way to Dudh Kosi River valley, with short ups and downs reaching back at Sagarmatha National Park entrance. overnight in Namche Bazzar

Day 13:Trek to Lukla-05 hrs.

Today, last of this super adventure ending at Lukla, morning walk leads on the gradual winding path to reach Lukla for lunch and overnight stop.A free afternoon to organize gratitude and farewell dinner with fellow staff and porters.

Day 14: Fly to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Daily flight operates early morning from Lukla to Kathmandu. Sometimes the flight time can get delayed due to unfavorable weather. Reaching at Katmandu domestic terminal you shall be transferred back to respective hotels. In the evening we will have a farewell Dinner to celebrate the success of our trip overning in kathmandu

Day 15: International departure for home ward bound.

Today is the last day in Nepal with great memories and amazing experiencein trekking to Everest Base Camp Panorama. Our staff transfersyou to Kathmandu international airport for your final departure homeward bound or to next port of call.


The Himalayan climate sometimes can be unfavorable with overcast bad weather, where flight to Lukla and back to Kathmandu can effected with delay or cancellation.

Destination Holidays will keep you inform of the situations in case of bad weather and what can be done to adjust the itinerary days and with your international flight back home.

In this situation please bear with us and be positive if the bad weather persists for many days (which is very rare) flying to Lukla, DH will reroute and arrange another similar type of trip to Annapurna or any hill /mountain destination with Luxury lodge facilities where available.

If the bad weather persists on flying to Kathmandu from Lukla, be calm we and our guide will do whatever means to evacuate our clients back to Kathmandu using helicopter, or one might have to walk for days to areas where the bad weather for flights is not affected. Incase of any emergency, if you have to use the helicopter you have to pay all the expenses of it by yourself

Hotel Accommodation

It all depends on the client’s requirement. However, We will be staying at 5 Star Hotel in Kathmandu and Yeti Mountain Home in Namche Bazzar, Lukla and Phakding and Best available during the trek. We will have rooms with attached restrooms in most parts of the trek but this is not possible in a few remote locations. Also understand that single rooms are not easily available in higher elevations like they are in Kathmandu and the lower elevation regions.

Best Seasons:

Autumn (Sept. to Nov.) and spring (March to May) are the best seasons for trekking in the Annapurna region. The weather is sunny and warm with outstanding views. If you wish to avoid crowds and enjoy some alone time with nature, then taking this trip during winter (Dec., Jan and Feb.) could also be an option. However, the temperature during winter could be harsh for most guests. Trekking in the summer or monsoon seasons (June to Aug) will be affected by rain but the summer trek could be a paradise for a keen botanist and naturalist.

Normal Trekking Day

Destination Holidays trekking involves for 4 to 7 hours of walking every day, depending on trails and altitude as per the trip selected, with some rest and acclimatization periods. The daily routine begins at around 6 a.m. with bed tea and washing water brought to your tent and rooms.

Please get packed promptly so that the Sherpa guides can start taking down the tents and your baggage, while you are having breakfast. Take your day pack with you to breakfast. The morning walk will be about 3 hours and there is no need to hurry. The lunch stop lasts about 1 to 2 hours and is a good time to do your laundry and write your diary etc. Then walk for another 2 to 3 hours to our evening stop.

Tea and biscuits awaits you and a few hours later dinner and evening reading, cards, drinking, etc.

Tipping Tax

Tipping though not compulsory however has become a customary in Nepal. 13 per cent VAT and 2.2 per cent Tourist Service Fee is usually included in your bill. Waiters, Bell boys and room maids would be happy to receive tips.
